OK, so here's a little something different! I don't do much vector art, but I really should do moar, so... my entry for the deviantWEAR contest. Yum. It was challenging making it look like there was transparency without actually using any... I think it looks best on the "coffee" colored shirt.
(I cropped the text from the template for simplicity's sake, so it bears repeating: the dA logo and this shirt template design are copyright to deviantArt.)
Which do you think looks better? Text or no text? [link]
P.S. - I ate the navel orange I used as a reference. It was delicious.
Just wanted to say, if I haven't before, a big THANK YOU to everyone who's commented here and shown their support for this design! I never expected to get such a positive response and I love you all! To everyone who's asked about a t-shirt, dA had said there might eventually be more designs chosen for print, and although it hasn't happened at this time, I will surely keep you posted if this design is ever selected for print.
Thanks so much everyone! Congrats to the winner here: [link] , and I hope you'll also check out two of my favs from the semifinals [link][link] and one that didn't make it but that I thought was awesome [link] .
most definitely this one. i had to look three times before noticing it!!!! haha honestly i would buy several of the entries, but this one, i will need to have even if like it doesnt make it
I must say that this is my most favourite design so far. I know that there are a few people at college who LOATHE dA, (I also think it has a few irritating kinks and wrinkles, but it's alright to find good artwork and showcase your own.) So wearing some t-shirt with a massive"I <3 dA!!!" Logo would be really uncool.
It reminds me of the hidden triquetra and pentacle jewelry wiccans used to wear back when witchcraft was frowned upon. To any old passer-by, they'd see it and go, "Ooh, nice orange T-shirt! I wonder what it means..." But fellow deviants would see the logo and say, "Hey that's cool. There's a fellow member over there supporting dA!"
To sum it all up, I'm in love with this tee. It definitely gets my vote!
