DeviantART is proud to present the winners of the deviantWEAR Design Battle 2009! You, deviants from around the globe, were the biggest voice in our decision making process for the winners. We read your comments, counted the thousands of favorited deviations, and four designs stood out from the rest. Here they are, ready to ship out and arrive at your door!
Our four winners: *reyjking1, *Jeanfranco, =adrenn and =transfuse will soon be receiving their Grand Prize – $1000 cash, 100 deviantDOLLARS, a one year subscription to deviantART, a decked out artists bag and two shirts printed with their winning design.
Again, thank you to all who participated! Picking from such an insane pool of entries was a tough task, but we made it through and are stoked with the winning designs. Stay tuned for news of the next Design Battle.
Why it won: Our hope for the Community category was that someone would find a way to create a stunning design that embraced the nature of deviantART and the spirit of the community; and *reyjking1 did exactly that with his winning piece. Depicting the tools that artists have available in their arsenal and deviantART's mascot, Fella, *reyjking1 really brings home the theme of "Artists United".
Why it won: With an almost editorial cartoon composition, and attention to detail (did you notice the little dA logos on the diaper?), "Learning" by *Jeanfranco was a sure win. Adorable factor aside, this design was executed brilliantly and we were honored to give *Jeanfranco the grand prize.
Why it won: This design struck us as being simple and straightforward, but absolutely stunning on a t-shirt. We've printed it with special inks to make the final result even better! =adrenn clearly took care to design something that would fit flawlessly within our already extensive line of deviantWEAR shirts and we had to add it to the collection.
Why it won: "dA Wrapped" by =transfuse was an incredibly popular entry with all that participated and kept the lead throughout the entire Battle. There's no question that this design is not only unique, but also incredibly stylish. Its placement and eloquent incorporation of the deviantART logo made this an easy choice for the grand prize.

Awesome shirt though, they all are ^^
