I bought a bag almost exactly the same for 100$ canadian at my local camera store. I prefer that the pocket to access your camera is on the side of the bag so you can keep it around your shoulder and just slide it sideways and grab the camera. I also prefer mine cuz there is a foothold for your tripod so it's not swinging around. The only thing mine doesn't have is a cell phone and water bottle pocket:P

If anyone wants to look it up, it's called the "Lowepro Slingshot 102 A". Look it up:) It's a great camera bag. I have it on my back everytime I step outside my door:D

Would love if this bag had a zippered section behind the main bag for a laptop, I take a macbook out on almost all shoots and having everything in one bag would be super convenient.

This is a GREAT looking bag, but it's like, a quarter of the size I need. Not sure this should have PRO in the title.

That being said, I totally want one for a side arm or even to give to an assistant, just cause it's SUCH a great looking bag.

1) I don't want to walk through a medium-sized city (or larger) with this over-prized toy on my back advertizing to every bum that I am carrying two or three expensive cameras on a place where I can't see them.
2) dA promises me ad-free pages for my premium membership. What is this thing doing above my camera info?

Yes, I agree too. They're right on my deviation pages. There must be a way to remove it since we didn't ask for it----???? If anyone knows, please tell us. Thank you.

This site is getting so bad and so in-your-face that I can hardly take any more of this crap.

DA is going to far with their advertisements and it wrong, i saw what it was like to not have a membership, every once and a while it brings u to this screen where u have to watch a commercial or something, im like really ur forcing me to look at this?

Wait, are you serious? I haven't seen that yet.

I guess the only way to combat those kind of ads is to close the window all together. :/ They're going to make it really hard for people to want to be members here for free if they just keep filling the pages full of advertisements.

exactly. when i first started i cant even remember what the advertisements were liek, so they werent that bad. now they are in the gallery, in each deviation, on everybodys page, and like i said how they actually redirect u to this page that plays a video. if i was to join deviant art now i would actually be like "woops i thought this was an art website my bad" and i would be on my way

So many websites run advertisements now it doesn't really bother me. Plus they get paid for advertising, which helps with the upkeep of the site and development as well.

Plus as premium members, one little advertisement isn't going to hurt us... Besides, you have to scroll so far down the page to even see it. -.-

What does it mean 'conventional shoulder strap'?... As, in, it crosses over your left, or your right, or hangs straight down?
Reply
:iconxredrockerx:
xRedRockerx Featured By Owner Aug 11, 2010   Photographer
It can either be hung on one shoulder, and hang down that same side, for example, put it on your left shoulder so it hangs on your left side, or - most commonly - can be slung across your chest, so you put it on your left shoulder, for example, but it hangs on your back at an agle, and sort of crosses over your front like a diagonal.

Who the fuck will pay $74.95 for this?
Honestly, the answer to this question is "Fuck No" i do not have one.
And even if i were to have $74.95 i would probably waste it on a good stock investment or something, most likely save it in my "Savings" account and buy a damn iphone 4 or something of use.

Indeed, but after having lugged a sling bag around with a Canon EOS40D with battery grip, and 3 assorted lenses, 2 flash units, and a handful of filters (which the DA bag can easily hold) I can attest that you do indeed get a sore shoulder after only a little amount of time. And sore shoulders aren't compatible with steady shots!

ya but there is no way that all that would gear would ever even come close to fitting in this bag lol

:iconserewolf:

actually, they are claiming it will fit that much, if you read the specs:
1 camera + 1 flash+ 4 lenses

and a pocket to hold accessories (filters, etc.)

swap a flash for a lens, and you may even have room to spare.

You aren't going to fit a 40D with a grip in this bag, it barely fits a Nikon d70 which is smaller than a Canon 40D, you add on the grip, and it just isn't happening

you are right good sir/ma'am. i have a d90 with battery grip and it is impossible to fit in the quick access part of the bag. HOWEVER if you rearrange some of the separators it will fit with out a lens attached or with a 50mm lens barely. i do not see how it will fit a body 4 lenses and a flash unless they are using some kind of freaky voodoo they arent telling us about. i call shenanigans until i am told how :| i will be making a video review on this bag soon.
